TCARA Special Past Events
TCARA is an ongoing partner with Native Sun Productions who produce special Educational Programs & Exhibits throughout Texas & The Alamo.
2015 - March 5th annual "Muster & Roll Call of the Alamo Garrison" honoring those who sacrificed their lives in 1836.
2014 - The "Dawn Ceremony" at the Alamo on March 6th; the Alamo Battlefield Association's "Muster & Roll Call of the Alamo Garrison" honoring those who sacrificed their lives in 1836, and living-history displays in the plaza by San Antonio Living History Association.
2013 - The documentary filming of "I Am Besieged: The Travis Legacy" in conjunction with the Alamo's once-in-a-lifetime exhibit of the famous "Victory or Death" Letter, written by Lt. Col. William Barret Travis at the Alamo in 1836.
2012 - Educational Field-trip for students from Fort Stockton ISD Intermediate School, Fort Stockton, TX to tour the San Antonio Missions for the first time.
2011 - 175th Anniversary of the Alamo Battle & Texas Independence. The week-long Educational Programs & Exhibits included David Crockett's first rifle and his last hand-written letter, Cavalry and flintlock firing demonstrations, replica 18-pound cannon from Disney's 2004 "Alamo" movie, UTSA Archaeology and animated map of the battle; Texian, Tejano, and Mexican Soldado presentations, historic Alamo Plaza walking tours, and living-history programs.
